Be aware that the public lands comprising Vail areas are under permit to by the USFS. While enjoying these permitted lands, users must abide by Vail’s and USFS’s restrictions and recommendations. Here’s a summary of restrictions and recommendations for uphill travel at Vail. This information is also available in all ticket offices, and by calling the Trails Hotline at 970.754.3049. Please be aware that Ski Patrol emergency services are only available when the ski area is open during normal daytime operating hours.
